چکیده

Background: Majority of Burkinabè adults were normal-weight by body mass index (BMI). This study explored gender, the metabolic abnormalities and “metabolic obesity with weight” (MONW) throughout normal BMI quartiles (Q) adults. Methods: We performed a secondary-analysis data from first WHO Stepwise approach to surveillance survey conducted in 2013 Burkina Faso, only between 18.5 – 24.9 kg/m² included. Metabolic disorders (individual abnormal syndrome component, having at least two MONW) described BMI’ quartiles, for each risk occurrence or MONW was analysed using as dependent variables, after adjustment on sociodemographic lifestyle factors. Results: In 3112 despite their low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol widespread (>75%) its distribution did not differ across raised fasting blood glucose (its prevalence ≈ 8%). Elevated pressure predominant abnormality overall men (35.3%) significant increment starting Q3 reached 42.8% Q4, while abdominal women (27.2%) increase Q2, 53.8% Q4. In men, (2.3%), 30.6% had an increasing pick Q3, 38.0% women, those 8% 39% respectively, common elevation beginning respectively 16% 56% Independently factors, number started both sexes. Conclusion: Prevalence considerable, increased BMI, more severely female gender whom alarming. Abnormalities should also be early screened adults, especially when reaches cut-offs, i.e., 21.5 21.1 women.
